第1单元：我的学校生活
My school life is colorful and busy. I usually get up at 7 o’clock in the morning and have breakfast with my family. Then, I go to school by bus which takes about 20 minutes. The first class begins at 8 o’clock sharp. I have six classes in a day, including Math, English, Chinese, Science, History, and P.E. My favorite subject is English because it is interesting and useful. After school, I often play basketball or read books in the library. Sometimes, I also help my parents do some housework when I get home. Overall, I enjoy my school life very much.
第2单元：我的朋友
I have a good friend named Jack. He is tall and has short black hair. We met each other when we were both six years old. Now we are in the same class at school. Jack is very smart and always gets good grades in all subjects. He is also kind-hearted and likes to help others whenever they need help. We often study together after school and share our ideas about different topics. On weekends, we sometimes play video games or watch movies together. I feel lucky to have such a great friend like Jack in my life.
第3单元：我的家乡
My hometown is located in the southern part of China, near the beautiful Yangtze River. It is a small city with a population of around one million people. The climate here is warm throughout the year, making it an ideal place for tourism. There are many scenic spots worth visiting, such as the ancient temple, the botanical garden, and the zoo. People here are friendly and hospitable, always ready to welcome visitors from all over the world. In addition to its natural beauty, my hometown is famous for its delicious food, especially seafood dishes. If you ever come to visit, don’t forget to try them!
第4单元：我的爱好
I am passionate about playing the piano. I started learning how to play this instrument when I was seven years old. Since then, I have practiced every day without fail. Playing the piano not only helps me relax but also improves my concentration and creativity. Besides, listening to classical music while practicing makes me feel peaceful inside. Another hobby that I enjoy is reading books. I love exploring new worlds through stories written by talented authors. Moreover, reading can broaden one’s horizons and enrich their knowledge base. These hobbies bring joy into my daily routine and keep me motivated throughout life.
第5单元：我的家人
There are four members in my family: my father, my mother, my elder brother, and myself. My parents work hard to provide us with everything we need while my brother studies at university far away from home. As for me, I am currently attending junior high school where I strive to do well academically so that I can make them proud later on. We often gather around the dining table during dinner time to chat about our day’s events and share laughter together. Despite being busy with their own schedules, my parents always find ways to spend quality time with each one of us individually. This close bond among us strengthens our relationship even more every single day.
